It is said that the rims for the car are the same as the shoes for a gentleman. After all, no elegant man would put on dirty shoes for his suit. What should you do to refresh the look of your “shoes”?
Dirt on wheelsare divided into two types:
Surface fouling is a street sludge (consisting of sand and mud), asphalt particles and resin residues. These dirt are most often found on the outer parts of rims and wheels. Removing them should not cause us any more serious problems.
The other type of contaminants are contaminants of metallic origin. They are deposited on the inner parts of the rim and originate from abrasive brake pads. This type of dirt often damages the structure of the unsecured rim by leaving deep scratches on the paint.
Removal of metallic deposits, is technically called deironisation.
The first step in cleaning rims is to use Nano Ceramic Protect® Iron Remover (deironisation). Spray the entire rim with the preparation and leave it for about 5 minutes. After a moment of spraying, a chemical reaction will start on your rim. It will cause dissolution of dirt and sediment from brake pads. The agent binds to dirt, turns red, creating a “bloody wheel” effect. It is worth noting that Nano Ceramic Protect® Iron Remover is an acid-free product. The method of cleaning wheels from deep sediment requires removing them from the vehicle. Thanks to the removal of wheels, we gain access to the inner part of the rim.

Careful cleaning of the rim should not be the last stage of our care. As we know, prevention is better than cure.
